XACML Policies for Exclusive Resource Usage
نویسندگان
چکیده
The extensible access control markup language (XACML) is the standard access control policy specification language of the World Wide Web. XACML does not provide exclusive accesses to globally resources. We do so by enhancing the policy execution framework with locks.

Enforcement of U-XACML History-Based Usage Control Policy
Usage Control policies have been introduced to overcome issues related to the usage of resources. Indeed, a Usage Control policy takes into account attributes of subjects and resources which change over time. Hence, the policy is continuously enforced while an action is performed on a resource, and it is re-evaluated at every context change. This permits to revoke the access to a resource as so...
متن کاملAccess and Usage Control in Grid
Grid is a computational environment where heterogeneous resources are virtualized and outsourced to multiple users across the Internet. The increasing popularity of the resources visualization is explained by the emerging suitability of such technology for automated execution of heavy parts of business and research processes. Efficient and flexible framework for the access and usage control ove...
متن کاملDeveloping and Enforcing Policies for Access Control, Resource Usage, and Adaptation - - A Practical Approach -
Policy-based software architectures are nowadays widely exploited to regulate different aspects of systems’ behavior, such as access control, resource usage, and adaptation. Several languages and technologies have been proposed as, e.g., the standard XACML. However, developing real-world systems using such approaches is still a tricky task, being them complex and error-prone. To overcome such d...
متن کاملOffline Expansion of XACML Policies
In the last few years XML-based access control languages like XACML have been increasingly used for specifying complex policies regulating access to network resources. Today, growing interest in Semantic-Web style metadata for describing resources and users is stimulating research on how to express access control policies based on advanced descriptions rather than on single attributes. In this ...
متن کاملA Prototype for Enforcing Usage Control Policies Based on XACML
The OASIS XACML standard emerged as a pure declarative language allowing to express access control. Later, it was enriched with the concept of obligations which must be carried out when the access is granted or denied. In our previous work, we presented U-XACML, an extension of XACML that allows to express Usage Control (UCON). In this paper we propose an architecture for the enforcement of U-X...
